can anyone tell me if my breed usually go to 63 days or are they likley to go over or under. i have read there is differences between certain breeds and whelping date, and that the 63 day rule is not so. my girl is on day 61 and her temp is currently 99.5 any info please

my girl whelped at 65 days post last mating temp 99.5, but showed nesting behaviour for about a week, and obvious early labour behaviour about 4hrs before she strained for the first pup.

my last 2 litter went to due date from first matting and the next 1 was the day before due date from first mating.
but 1 of my other bitches went 7 days over on her first litter (only 3 pups) and ib her next 2 she went a few days early and they were both litters of 7.
so what i am saying is that i would get things ready from about 5 days before due date from first mating and just keep things handy and dont plan on leaving her on ehr own for very long
My Girl had her pups on day 64 (Early hours of course!) She was obviously in early labour the whole day before with all the usual signs, digging, heavy panting etc.
She had obviously read the book of the bitch!
Best of luck with the whelping. To me theres nothing more adorable than Staffie pups.

if staffies go to the full 65 days? would cavaliers be roughly the same, being a smallish breed to.
