Hello

Rosie and I are off to Ringcraft tonight for the first time....we're both abit nervous! (me!)

What should I expect on the first night? How are the classes usually run.

Should we know how to do things already?? We are complete little cheese novices!

<<<<<<<,How are the classes usually run>>>>>>>>>>>

This depends on the club :)  Only recently I had a friend who said that our RC is much different to hers.  Also many people tell us that the others are different.

Now a good ringcraft to me will be easy to walk into, people will talk to you and help you.  Don't be afraid.  Depending on how big and how many trainers they have I would expect to at least get some one ono one work where I would be taught how to move and stand my dog.  The most important thing I think is that the trainer wil help you to get it right (some just do the motions and don't teach you anything)

Most of all have fun, ask questions and have a good social evening.

And no you should not be expected to  no anything already!

Hello

Thanks for the reply, Im going to Wilmington which is in Dartford, Im just a litle nervous because I don't think its a structured class, I'd hate to be the one standing in the corner not knowing what to do.

Hopefully everyone will be very nice and Rosie and I can make some friends! :)

Hi first thing I'd say is just think people who are also standing apart are possibly new comers like yourself and unsure also of what to so etc. So smile and good luck.

Nake sure and introduce yourself to the organisers/trainers and explain your level of experience (or lack of) and I am sure they will do their best to sort you oput. Be sure to ask about anything you don't understand, as you do forget that things like terminology etc are not obvious. :D

Is it a staffy only ringcraft or a mixed breed? :)

Hello

Rosie and I went to Staffy! Ringcraft last night i Essex and it was fantastic!

The lady who runs it said she is a perfect looking Staffy and that we definetly have to show her...although she does need to lose abit of weight!!!

One of the guys made her walk down the mats and stand and she was almost perfect considering she has never done it before.

IM SO PROUD :d
