I had my girl spayed last tuesday and last night noticed she had a blood stained mucousy vaginal discharge.
I phoned the vets this morning and have got to take her in this evening as soon as surgery opens but the vet sounded quite worried on the phone and has got me all nervous now.
Anyone had a similar experience?
She seems absolutely fine in herself and is eating drinking and behaving perfectly normally other than having this discharge.

It's an infection.
Antibiotics prescribed.

I agree, it sounds like an infection to me. The vet should be able to clear it up ok. But ignored, it could have been dangerous.

Yes she was given an antibiotic injection and then tablets for 5 days.
Luckily I have spotted it immediately so she should be just fine :)

A week on and still discharging despite the antibiotics :(
She has been given another course of different ab's to see if it does clear up but if not they will need to open her up again to see if the inside stitches are infected :(
Also she has started to wet herself at night (not such a good thing as she sleeps with me normally guess we will be having to change that idea!)

Unfortunately I have heard of several bitches who become incontinent asfter speying :( Sorry
