Callia is nearly 10 weeks old, and it feels like I've had her 10 yrs :P
We have got to the stage where she will sit and not leap about like a mad thing for food and treats, when her ladyship feels like it, but the leaping in the air and landing on your legs, hands and arms, claws running down them painfully is still very common and quite frankly, as she is getting bigger by the second, I need to stop it. Especially with muddy paws.
I have just been working on "no" as I don't want to confuse her with too many words. I never give attention or food when she does it, I turn, as best I can, and walk the other way with her doing her Zebedee impersonation behind me  then the barking starts, this seems to be her last resort when all else fails :) We all practice the same behaviour with her. This morning she did it to my daughter and cut her leg. The biting has been subsiding over the past week, she will now listen and take what is offered for her to chew instead. So the walking away and ignoring has worked with that.
Must say, I've never had one that is so insistent on jumping, even when being ignored. I realise that she is only 10 weeks and sometimes I probably expect too much, but I'm having a bit of an off day (you don't want to know what she has had me doing this morning) Reassurance please, that or a very stiff drink may well do the trick :D :D
