Well had Echo for nearly 6 weeks now and Push Your Luck time has definitley arrived ! From being my shadow on walks hes turned into - "Whoops whats that over there? Fence? What fence?" Friday was   Ha HA  FAT DAD you cant catch me ! As he sails over a 5 ft fence.The gas man didnt tell my Lord and Master that he needed tools out of his van. This allowed Sir Echo to escape. Sunday was "Oh look, a wee birdie, Cor loverly MUD !"How can a mainly black dog with light tan points be so difficult to brush clean of black mud?
He ate his plastic water dish after playing frisbee with it ( Kids had riot act read over this one) so now he has metal dishes.
Hes attempted to sleep on every bed in the house except mine, and when I tottered upstairs last night, I found Master Echo ensconced on the settee watching TV. And we're teaching him to Speak as a remedy for barking and yowling for attention/to make us get food or walks ready faster etc.
Hes still scared of the dark, so we sleep with my bedside light on.
On the plus side his recall is improving as long as I catch him before the arrival of interesting things - he now sees other dogs as possible playmates rather than hired assasins. Any slow or delayed recall terrifies me though and I really cant do without the check line. AND hes stopped playing Echo Ex Rated Love Machine with everyone and has finally learned not to nip my hands when playing.

Morse would be proud of him - what a character! Just wait til your new boxer chap arrives!

Our latest breakthrough was when I finally caught OH playing fetch with my two lads this morning, and he sneaked Sparky a bit of his chicken leftovers on Sunday (though Man U did have a very good weekend, which might explain his sudden good humour).

Sounds like exactly the same things we went through with Tyler, isn't it lovely though when there naughty little personalities shine through there fear.

oh my god!!! another dog like mine i have a lhasa who tries to asanate rottweilers, and any other big dog that he comes in contact with.

How did you cure the hired assasin syndrome. My 14month old GSD has this problem would love to know how you got round this one.

cured the hired assasin syndrome by have the ikkle bugger castrated. the only thing here trys 2 kill now r poeple on bikes. but i think i can live with it 4 now hope u have fun cureing ur assasin lv txx
