Has anyone got the supplement which had a load of devices for dogs and humans and it is wa a put a stop to the pull collar.  It apparantly emits a sound when your dog pulls.  In my never ending quest to get my dogs to stop pulling I was thinking of giving it a try but wondered if anyone has tried one and if so what the results were.

If you mean the whistle type thing that attaches between the lead & the collar, don't waste your money - it doesn't work

My mother tried one with her dog when he was young. It was a complete waste of money.

Yes it does make a noise I thought it sounded too good to be true. :)

Complete and utter waste of good time and money.  Does not work at all!

Hi

Don't waste your money on gadgets, there is only one way to stop your dog pulling and that it is to train them where they should be walking and that takes a lot of work (and can be started the very first time a dog is put on the lead or even before.)

I would say that you can train a dog to pull on any form of lead or head collar!

Yes I am fully aware that I could train them and in a ideal world I would and yes when they are walking singularly they all walk wonderfully but when you have four of them in full flow I cant do it.  And before anyone says it yes we could walk them individually but I do not have 6 hours a day spare to walk them like this :) I have tried dog training and was told to get the dog a gentle leader and this woman is a fully trained behaviourist :)

I can walk three awful aussies on gentle leaders :D

They do actually work - I personally prefer the gencon collar/lead, just because I find that they are easier to slip on each dog - the gentle leaders are *** to put on dogs with ruffs!

It means that I can put each dog on the collar/lead and hold them until I have all three "leaded up" when they are getting out of the car - even when I have a "dead" shoulder.

Once they are out of the car, and are less excited, I can swap them for ordinary leads - but they are oh so useful!

We have found the leather ones are quite good as well the dogmatics I think they are called.  We are able to walk them but it would be lovely to not look you are part of a husky team with you as the sledge :)

Can you get leather gencons???   I'd be interested in those!
