I have a 16month old dog who is perfectly fit and healthy but has a very poor appetite. I am currently trying Garlic and Fenugreek tabs (1 daily) and Enervite paste. I really need to get some extra condition on him....any idea's welcome.
Thanx
Jac

If you do a search on the internet there's a recipe called Satin Balls.
It's a US recipe, so some of the ingredients might be unknown to UK shops in the names used in the recipe.
But apparently it's supposed to work.

To be honest, been there done that, maturity is the only thing that works (or neutering).

My particular anorexic stayed that way until 5 years of age and her second litter.  She then kept a good weight and ate most days.

I had her spayed after her third litter and am actually having to feed her less ans she has become quite 'billowy' never thought I would see the day.  Her brother too was never much of a Chow hound, but put on quite a bit of weight once castrated at over 3 years old.

The more you make an issue of food the worse they become so relax, feed only at meal times,a dn do not up later meals to make up for skipped ones as this makes them worse.

One way to do it is actually cut their food down until they clear their dish at each meal, and are looking for more, and then very slowly increase the food.
