Now I'm not so sure what you mean by "something missing from his kc"

So I'm going to start again :P I assumed you were looking for a manual, ie book, on more about Shar Peis? In which case, phew, I gave the right info!
But maybe you think the KC registration documents are the "owner's manual"? In which case scrub the above and start again

The KC registration papers will detail your pup's name, sire and dam, the breeders info and have a section which you fill in and return to the Kennel Club transferring the puppy into your own name. Separately to that you will have a pedigree - which is a detailed record of the preceding generations of your puppy (usually 3, 4 or 5 generations back starting with sire and dam) - if your puppy was advertised, sold to you as KC registered, then THE important part is the KC registration form.
If I've picked you up wrong forgive me - just back in from a night on the town :D so perhaps not as clear headed as usual (yeah, right)
