im getting my harley(staffy pup) on sunday cant wait, how do i keep him white i dont have the proplem with my girls because they are dark brindle

I have red and white setters, mainly white, I find the best thing is to make sure you keep them brushed to keep all dirt out, they only get bathed before a show if they are really dirty!  However if you wish at home (but not at shows) you could use chalk or talc when drying them but no substance may remain in a dogs coat at anytime during a show so you will have to make sure its out.

I have 2 white Boxers and I've found a daily brushing keeps them nice.  You can also use a human shampoo for gray hair or the blue dog shampoo formulated for white dogs.  :)

If you don't want to fully bath him you can use a self rinsing shampoo works with my cavaliers if I don't want to bath them

It alway amazes me after we have been for a muddy walk our dog (cream coloured) will be coated then half an hour later it's all gone!!!! Must be on the dark carpet in the kitchen.

Ah - forgot about that.  I use a dry shampoo or baby wipes in between bathing.  If you can get over the odd smell of the powdered shampoo it works really well.
