Can anyone tell me how difficult/easy it is to show a dog which is co-owned with the breeder who lives in another country?  How could this dog be shown?  Would a signature be required from the breeder for every show attended?

Please help.

The KC require a signature on the KC forms but do not require the other owner, however I would get the showing & breeding agreements in writing from the owner abroad to protect you both from any misunderstandings. Is he going to be permanently resident over here ? if so no ATC would be required but he would have to be registered with the KC instead

Please join it is free & would be interesting to know what breed & to know how he does in the ring

I think you only need at least one signature but don't quote me on that.  However I know people who show imported dogs that are still also owned by the breeder from oversea's.

It stated in the most recent KC Gazette that co-owners of dogs only need to provide one signature on show entries, as long as they have permission in writing from the other owner to enter shows on their behalf.  The KC recommend this permission is renewed every six months.

i did last year the fcr i bought over for 6 months stayed at my house and i showed hom in the uk.
first you got to get ATC number in the owner name and adress, with kc paper work from the country that dog come from with pedigree,
when we apply to the uk kc.i did stated that the dog go to be in my care not ownership.so i was allow to sign the show forms and docment with pp after the signuater.
so on the show form where it stated owner you put owner name then c/o in your name.your address so the entries pass come to you and the dog will be vench next to your dogs, then sign the form in your name withh pp.it easy to do just ring the kc up they are very helpfull to me.
