If I was a betting man I'd go for the Bichon AM/CH Parays Told You So or the Wire CH Travella Smart Design and just wondered who everyone else thought was a contender for the title. Dizzy's bitch is a definite good outside bet I'd also put some money on.
- By ClaireyS Date 22.02.05 15:33 UTC
The Rottie, Rolex Rumour has it by Fantasa seems to do alot of winning, or as you said the Bichon is also a good contender :)
- By carolyn Date 22.02.05 15:35 UTC
I personally think the rottie stands a good chance
he really has done some wins this year.
- By lel [gb] Date 22.02.05 15:48 UTC
Not a staffy thats for sure
- By ice_queen Date 22.02.05 16:02 UTC
an oversea's dog from america!  Not sure which breed, will let you know at about 9ish on 13th of march!!!! :D
- By ManxPat [im] Date 22.02.05 16:34 UTC
I think it will be a Saluki
- By thomas-the-spot [gb] Date 22.02.05 17:24 UTC
Could be my dog - hahaha :):):)  No seriously not seen many dogs groups being judged this year but my bet would be on the little poodle Minurettes Secret assignment I believe its called.  A real show dog if I ever I saw one.

Would be nice to see a dalmatian do something for a change especially with a breed judge doing the utility group.  A exceptionally good judge I would hasten to add with exceptionally good taste. And yes he did like one of my dogs :):)
- By husky [in] Date 22.02.05 17:26 UTC
Would like to see Jafrak Phillipe Olivier do it, definately don't want a Sibe though (no chance anyway)!
- By Daisy [gb] Date 22.02.05 17:28 UTC
I don't mind as long, as it's not something that looks like a fluffy toy rather than a dog :D

- By fifi [gb] Date 23.02.05 16:12 UTC
Think you could be right about the poodle Thomas-the-spot certainly for the group anyway since the judge you like has already given him a Ch show BIS this year, and the BIS judge does like poodles so would say the poodle is in with a good chance!
- By polly_45 [gb] Date 22.02.05 18:43 UTC
I would like to see a boxer take the BIS this year or at least see one in the final
- By Lokis mum [gb] Date 22.02.05 18:59 UTC
Well, I can tell you DEFINITELY that it won't be a certain Aussie -who, despite the cold weather, thinks he might be a Geordie & is trying to go out in a teeshirt in the snow  !!!

Margot
- By CarolW [gb] Date 22.02.05 21:34 UTC
I would like to see Willy (tibetan terrier) win.

CarolW
- By ChristineW Date 23.02.05 13:03 UTC
A dog that deserves it & not it's owner!!!!!  ;)
- By John [gb] Date 23.02.05 14:02 UTC
A Flatcoat from the Gamekeepers Ring! shown by a bloke in short trousers! ;)
- By thomas-the-spot [gb] Date 23.02.05 14:11 UTC
Anyone in mind John :)

Well said ChristineW :)
- By vivian [gb] Date 23.02.05 17:12 UTC
I would say the gamekeeper, if he has his kilt on. Viv
- By Dusty [gb] Date 23.02.05 20:11 UTC
I would like to see the Rottie win it, Rolex Rumour has it by Fantasa, he is a very nice dog and i think deserves it!
- By Spook [gb] Date 27.02.05 14:51 UTC
10 out of 10 for typing what some are already saying about our group ;)
- By Boxacrazy [gb] Date 23.02.05 21:50 UTC
Something with four legs and 42 teeth :D

Whatever pulls out all the stops and shows it's heart out and takes the judges fancy on the night.

Personally as much as I love my breed the Boxer and would love to see one finally take BIS spot....
I don't think the Boxer will do it this year.... of course perhaps I'll change my mind if my own Abby wins
BOB (oooh a whole herd of piggy's just flew past the windows), LOL :D :D

I don't know - I quite like the fox terrier and of course the Rottie has done alot of winning too.
But who knows perhaps there are other stars waiting in the wings to be discovered at Crufts.
Can't wait to watch the groups on TV & be a couch judge and see if I agree with the judges placements.

:)

I love it when something different wins...no one expected the whippet would win last year and it was brill.

- By Brainless [gb] Date 24.02.05 16:16 UTC
What you all have to remeber is that any of the favourites has to get past 3 judges, firstly and most importatly the breed judge, the rest is really pretty irelevant.  winning BOB is the most important, ther rest is just superfluous judging apples against oranges and more about performance than the best dog, as choose any of the ones in the Group or Best In Show ting and you can't be wrong :D
- By bobsmum [gb] Date 24.02.05 17:17 UTC
love to see a oes
- By perrodeagua [gb] Date 26.02.05 22:03 UTC
Spanish Water Dog, oops, just woke up from my dream :d  That'll be the day, look forward to the day when I can show there!
- By bozwellruby [gb] Date 26.02.05 22:51 UTC
I WOULD LOVE IT IF A GREAT DANE WENT BEST IN SHOW
- By archer [gb] Date 26.02.05 22:52 UTC
I'd hate a dog from my breed to go BIS....its not an overly popular breed and long may it stay so!
Archer
- By Brainless [gb] Date 27.02.05 10:45 UTC
The Group again or even RBIS would be OK as the general public doesn't remember those :D
- By archer [gb] Date 27.02.05 12:41 UTC
Group would be nice......its more a case of wondering who'll go BOB for us I think...its been very open this year apart from Vi's dogs and they won't be there so who knows!!
Nikki
- By Brainless [gb] Date 27.02.05 12:58 UTC
Should be interesting as it could be anyones day, rather how I like it :D
- By DebbieS [gb] Date 06.03.05 14:23 UTC
It would be fantastic to see a Dane win. It won't happen this year as the BIS judge is a well known Dane breeder. The dog would have to be totally outstanding for it not to look like favouritism and I personally haven't seen anything THAT special around recently.

Maybe next year.

Debbie.
- By Jeff (Moderator) Date 06.03.05 22:15 UTC
Think you are correct about Jean Lanning and the quality about at the moment. I always have my fingers crossed that it won't be a Dane there are too many in rescue already. It would be fantastic though if a Dane could win and the breed not become anymore popular.
- By copper_girl [gb] Date 28.02.05 15:08 UTC
After being at crufts last year and seeing all the just gorgeous Border Terriers, I was amazed that none got to the finals.  I know its all a matter of taste but I would have picked one or all of them.  They were all perfect.  I do, however, know why no BT was picked,  Copper wasn't there :D  Yeah I know I know :)

my flatcoat retriever that coming from sweden?????
- By Spook [gb] Date 06.03.05 22:17 UTC
Well I think it'll be an akita....nothing to do with the malamute judge.(lick lick ;) )
- By ice_queen Date 06.03.05 22:21 UTC
ahhh now I'm thinking bichon :)
- By wheaten_mad [gb] Date 07.03.05 17:15 UTC
I agree ice-queen that the bichon might do well I also think that looking at the crufts program that was on yesterday that the pointer might do well. I can't remember what dogs I liked now! But I know one thing that if I was judge I would find it REALLY hard to pick a winner! What dog will win - I agree with Christine, a dog that deserves it and not its owner.

- By perrodeagua [gb] Date 08.03.05 21:13 UTC
Next year it will be the Pomeranian, Briarlow's Truly Scrumtious :d  Well, I can dream can't I.  And anybody that says a Pomeranian isn't a dog, hasn't met one.  My vet didn't think much of them until he met the abive and her dad!
- By kayc [gb] Date 08.03.05 21:56 UTC
I just hope to god it isn't a Lab :(
- By sarstaff [gb] Date 08.03.05 22:15 UTC
I know what you mean Kayc, its a shame when you would love to see your breed do well but know what the consequences will be if its an already popular breed.
- By BN123 [gb] Date 08.03.05 22:39 UTC
I think it will be a Norfolk Terrier coming from america called Coco

- By Dawn-R Date 11.03.05 12:10 UTC
Well, well, well, She's on her way then. :)

- By hairydog [gb] Date 11.03.05 14:52 UTC
Wont be a Lab (Thank god!) or a Goldie!. And please dont take this the wrong way anyone out there with smaller dogs, but can a big dog please win this year!....

Though will probably put my money on the Bichon, A friend of mine was going to buy one of his puppies, when he let her down at the last minute....and she had to explain to her 10 yr old daughter why they were not going to get him....not nice....
- By ClaireyS Date 11.03.05 14:54 UTC
Since watching last night I reckon it will be Coco the Norfolk Terrier.
- By Polly [gb] Date 11.03.05 18:25 UTC
To win a dog needs ring presence and lots of it. I would not be surprised if the beagle got it he had oodles of ring presence, just like the year Ch. Olac Moon Pilot, he had that cheeky cockiness which says "I've arrived now, so why look any further". The other dogs were beautiful but they didn't have his "look at me" attitude.
- By Moonmaiden Date 11.03.05 19:08 UTC
LOLOl well no Bichon Frise as the smooth chihuahua  Ch Dachidas Master Angel has just won the toy group !
- By archer [gb] Date 11.03.05 19:15 UTC

Absolutely beautiful dog, what a gorgeous face :) Definitely my favourite so far :)
- By Anndee [gb] Date 13.03.05 19:49 UTC
Now he's through to the final, I'm rooting for 'Philippe'. I think he deserves it this time round :D
Quite surprised Rolex Rumour didn't get BOB, he's super.
