We pick up our first pug on Friday and we can not find a book about them, we have been on the internet and so far we have printed some stuff off but we need a book just to help us a bit more.

Any ideas??

If ou check out Amazon they have some pug books.  Teh Complete Pug by Ellen S Brown is very good, and Alison Mount had a Pug book publishe dlast year which look sgood, but I have not got it yet and cant remember its name.  There are some fascinating older pug books too, with lots on hte history. I have bought lots on ebay and from secondhand book dealers.

    I don't know if you are in the UK but any Pets at Home can order you one of ten books on Pugs. Some of these books are better than others. We supply books to the pet trade so if you don't have a PAH near you let me know roughly where you are I might know a decent pet shop.

I do live in the UK in Chesterfield, PAH have not got any, my husband has been in so many times to ask them and they have not got one.

I hope that a pet shop nearby can help or in fact get us one.

You might find that lots of hte books availabel from Pet Shops are very basic, with only a tiny bit actually appertaining to the breed, and the rest just general doggy info, quite ofter more apertaining to the USA!  Thats why i recomended Amazon.  Another good online book store is the one "Our Dogs" magazine has.  They list lots of pug books.  As previous poster said, some a lot better than others.  This is why I recomended the Alison Mount and Ellen Brown ones, they are full of info and pics about pugs, interesting and informative.

Hi,
    Just had a word with our rep for the Chesterfield area, if you go into PAH and ask them to order the book specially for you it should be with them in two/three working days. The book by Mount is £9.99 and the one by Brown is £19.95.  Ask them to ring their "book man" Jonathan and he will order it for you.

Well we have picked up our little baby and she is a beauty, we have called her lola but her pedigree name is Falecea Christmas Rose (born on 30th Dec 04)

We cant get enough of her.  Bit sad though today, she is at my mother in law's as I am back at work, by god am I missing her so much.
