i have a 10 year old border collie that seems to have a cold. he sneezes and sometimes his nose bleeds, he appears to be trying to clear nose. my son took him to a vet who said he has COLLIE NOSE. he did not explain in great detail. he said it was terminal. he precribed him medrone v 4mg tablets to be taken 1, 3, times a day. i have also beentold by a border collie breeder that a load of tosh. has any one heard of COLLIE NOSE. if so what is it, and is it as the vet said.? i will also go to another practice for second opinion.
Type Collie Nose into a search engine such as Google and you'll find some sites there which will decribe the problem. Look at this link http://www.ida.net/users/tonyd/Collie_Health.htm#cn (sorry can't do links) and this will give you a brief description, it definitely does not mention nose bleeds.

I think you should seek a second opinion I would also question the tabs your dog has been prescribed ie; why they have been prescribed and what will they do now and long term . Just a thought but are it's tear ducts blocked ,best wishes and hope your dog gets sorted
