My year old ckcs seems to be a bit constipated. Before I take her to the vets and get given human medicine at vets prices (they did this when the older one had sickness) I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to what i could give her to aim her motions. Thanks

There are different things that you could give your dog.
But you need to know what causes the obstipation. So a trip to the vet is something
that you will need to do anyway.
If it's just a slight obstipation the medication will be something in the form of lactuloses sirop.
But again you need to know the cause of a problem before you can treat it.
Treating a symptom without knowing what causes it can be very dangerous!

I agree you do need to visit the vet because apparent constipation could even be something like an anal tumour where the dog in fact can't toilet due to a physical barrier.

Hope it's much simpler than that,

Lindsay
