Bought a veg steamer from Tesco yesterday thought i would try it out today, carrots and parsnips in the bottom, cabbage in the top,its great no more pans bubbling away on the cooker, dont have to stand over checking, meats cooked, roasties in the oven even got time to go on champdogs.

I bought mine a year ago for OH Sheila, and we wouldn't be without it, and just think how much healthier it is for you all :)

Good job he loves to cook, me?......I still don't know how to use it :P

I keep meaning to buy one of those, do your veggies taste any different?

I've got one but since I have a range I tend to bang everything into various ovens. When I do use the steamer I find I have pools of water on the worktop - perhpas I overfill it.  My brother is on his 3rd one over about 10 years and find them fab.

Louise the veg tastes lovely i didnt have to season atall,i wouldnt be without it now, mine has a marker on it so you dont over fill, however if you put it near the back of a worktop it will make condensation,no problems if in the middle of worktop.
