my dog has just cut his paw again, he hurt the sameleg just before christmas and has to be knocked out so it could be stitched, this time its more like a scrape on his paw rather than a slash the previous time. His paw has raw circle about the size of the tip of our little fingers. It did not bleed much at all and he did not limp at all, so we washed it in salt waterand put some antiseptic cream on it and bandaged it. The next day he limped on it occasionally. It is on his front paw, but it is quite high up on his pad and so it is not really touching the ground. Should I keep it covered and should i keep in the house. He is a really good dog, he lets me clean it and bandage it and does not even try to take the bandage off
The last time he hurt it, we had to keep him in for a week and just lead exercise for another three but he had stitches then. It looks like this is going to be a regular thing for him. He is a x greyhound and just loves to run, but short of keeping him on his lead what can i do to stop him hurting his paws. I already pick up any broken glass in the park but the next day its no better. Thanks in advance for any help
