Just woke up to about 5cm of snow up here in North Yorkshire, I do love it when it snows and have been asking for it for ages :D BUT I was meant to be going to Nottinghamshire today and looks like I may not be able to now :(
On the upside tho it is Idõ's first proper snow(it was snowing when we carried him from the breeders house into the car :)) so if we do have to stay at home at least it will be fun!!
I saw on the TV that everywhere from Northumberland to Lincolnshire would be affected so are YOU?!!!!??
Emily :)

we have snow!!! about 4 inches here in the north east, im looking at it out the window, glad im not venturing out today and hoping for sunshine so its gone for tomorrow when im back at work, the kids however have been out in it all morning and are rosy cheeked and lovingit :)
- By Emily Rose [gb] Date 20.02.05 10:59 UTC
Yeah, I'd say 4 inches now plus lots of flurries(sp?), 5cm was a guess!!so probably more still by tomorrow just in time for me going back to college :(
Have been out 'playing' already, great excuse to be silly when you have a puppy:D Idõ is now curled up in front of the fire, bless his little hairy socks!!! And we were only out for about 10/15 mins!!! No doubt when he wakes up he will be raring to go again!!
Sorry if you don't have snow, that's one reason I couldn't live in the south I've waited all winter  for snow, I jst love it :) There's 3 snowmen on our road already and I haven't started on ours yet!!!!
Emily - who feels 10 years younger than she actually is today :D And I was only 19 to begin with!!!!!!
- By ice_cosmos Date 20.02.05 11:15 UTC
It's bright sunshine here too :(
- By Dawn-R Date 20.02.05 11:42 UTC
Yes, I'm in Northumberland and we have quite a covering of snow. The dogs were trailing snowballs from the leg and belly feathering when we got home this morning from our walk. I had to melt the balls (snow) with a hairdrier.

It snowed for 3hrs while we watched rugby this morning but it didnt stay its just really cold we took the job of keeping the reserves warm just so myself and Abby could run around to keep warm. Hopefully it snows properly tonight so I dont have to go to work tomorrow.

- By perrodeagua [gb] Date 20.02.05 22:16 UTC
No snow here in sunny Manchester :d
- By Lokis mum [gb] Date 20.02.05 22:19 UTC
Just read the forecast - and we are supposed to have snow overnight!!!

It's been cold, but not THAT cold - so I'm wondering whether it is a case of ovber-egging the pudding - or whether I really ought to be out there, spraying the car with "no frost" - but there again, if we DO get it as bad as the forecasters are predicting, I won't be able to get further than the drive 1st thing romorrow morning..... so I think I'll leave it :D

We had not snow but travelled 5 miles to my sons village and the kid had great massive snow balls and a kind of igloo made, when we got back home no snow bright and sunny. Barbie saw her first snow today and she rolled over and over in to the snow she wanted all the dogs to play with her
- By Trevor [gb] Date 21.02.05 06:05 UTC
Woke up this morning to snow - roads are covered and we have had about 2 inches overnight the frustrating thing is that the local radio I'm tuned into doesn't seem aware of it and hav'nt broadcast travel problems or school closures etc ( maybe there arn't any :))

We've had even more snow this morning so it took me an hour to get into college-usually takes 20 mins tops and to top it off my tutor hasn't made it in so I'm browsing here for a bit, may do a bit of work then I'm off home to play in the garden with Idõ!!
I do love snow but roll on summer and outdoor shows and light mornings and evenings in the garden, ahh bliss!!

- By Jeangenie [gb] Date 21.02.05 18:59 UTC
Ooh, that's a good site, Lea! It says we're going to have snow all night - perhaps I won't be able to get to work! :) Perhaps hubby won't be able to get home in the morning. :(
- By LJS Date 21.02.05 20:09 UTC
I have tried our post code then the nearest town and the Oxford and it says we don't exist :(

All I want is snow so for the next week so we don't have to go to work. We stocked up on tinned goods at the weekend :D

Hope DH gets home ok if the snow does suddenly come ! :D

We are not used to it really where we live hey JG ;)

- By Jeangenie [gb] Date 21.02.05 20:34 UTC
Lucy it didn't accept our postcode either, but it acknowledged that Warwick exists! We haven't had any decent snow here for about 14 years, when the vilage was cut off with no power or water (pumping station runs on electricity!) for 3 days. The lack of power wasn't too bad, but the lack of water was awful.
- By Melodysk [gb] Date 21.02.05 21:01 UTC
I always use Metcheck for weather updates ;)
- By iansstaffys [gb] Date 21.02.05 21:07 UTC

- By louise123 [gb] Date 21.02.05 22:42 UTC
I hate the snow as well, especially as the horrid teenagers round here like to throw snowballs at the cars driving past, if i ever got scratch there would be hell on.
- By tracey [gb] Date 22.02.05 09:56 UTC
