i would really love to buy a dog that is featured in poirot (bob). i have been told that the breed is a wired haired fox terrier, but after looking on the internet at the wire haired terrier, i'm not convinced that BOB is a wire haired fox terrier. please can you help and tell me the real breed i'm after.

Yes I think you will find that BOB is a slightly in need of a haircut wire haired fox terrier.  their coats need to be trimmed regularly otherwise they start to look like Privet hedes that haven't been cut :D

Brainless is right - Bob is a wire-haired fox terrier who has been clipped appallingly badly!

Perhaps he is wearing period costume :) a lot of old photos of the breed show some pretty scruffy cuts.

Trust me, he looked rubbish and there was an outcry after the first showing of the programme! ;)
