Topic Other Boards / Foo / Dirty wee boy!!!!!
- By Alli [gb] Date 18.02.05 14:49 UTC
I am furious, this morning I was upstairs doing my room, when I opened my curtains there is this wee boy about 12/13 just about to have a pee on my fence. I live in a built up area so anyone could have walked past and seen him. I shouted "hoi you ya dirty wee begger" at him and he shouted back for me to **** off, then proceeded to tell me that I was going to be getting my windows done in tonight. I thought no more of it and went about my usual. When I was making lunch who appeared right outside my kitchen window, yes you guessed it, the dirty wee lout. He stood there with a brick in his hand and shouted that I had better move out the way or else the brick would hit me. I was quicker than him and got my camera out and took a picture of him, went to the door and said that if any of my windows were smashed I'd be taking the picture to the police. He then shouted more obsenities before running off laughing. I'm actually now sitting here worried that this wee begger is going to be back later and actually do as he says. I dunno whether I should phone the police or not. What do you think?

Definately call them, he has done enough all ready to merit a talking to if nothing else.  It is better not to be soft touch with these people as that seems more likely to get you picked on in future.

Thanks for the reply
Problem is I don't know his name or anything like that, I know I have a picture but it's not as good as I thought it would be. I'd feel a bit silly just saying ummm some wee boy was verbally abusive and threatened to throw a brick through my window this morning. I'll probably give them a call anyway and see what they say.

Alli

Edited to say
I might just wait until after school comes out and see if he turns up again and try to get a better picture of him, then I'll have something better for them to go on.

Hi i would contact the police straight away, have you got a good description of the youth, i would think that he was using threatning behaviour towards you and he actually did say he would put your windows through, that would be enough for me to be straight on the phone to the police and put in a complaint

I would phone the police pdq - not that they will do much, probably, but it will be on record!

Also, make sure that you keep your camera close by you - if the young yob comes back & does lob a brick, he might try & pinch the camera at the same time!

Hope things do quieten down though!

Ha! This just gets better. I phoned the police and was told that I was in the wrong because I didn't have the lads permission to take a picture. They also said that if he turns up again after school to phone them and someone will come out. Yeah they will probably turn up about 10 this evening. I'm soo angry.

Oh for goodness sake!!!  Tell the police you were taking a picture of your window and he just happened to get in it ;)  Bet when they see the picture they will know who he is anyway
- By Isabel Date 18.02.05 15:20 UTC
Thats bunkum anyway.  There was a report in the Telegraph about a burglar caught by the resident's secret web cam on his computer, they even showed his picture in the newspaper, bet he didn't give permission for either the pic to be taken or published :)
- By Alli [gb] Date 18.02.05 15:30 UTC
They said it was because he was under 16, so I suppose they have something there, but even so I'm still angry.
- By Carla Date 18.02.05 15:36 UTC
How do they know he's under 16 without going and seeing who it is??!
- By Alli [gb] Date 18.02.05 15:38 UTC
Because they asked me what age I thought he was. I should have said Emmm I dunno I couldn't tell.
- By Carla Date 18.02.05 15:43 UTC
Still shouldn't take an assumption as a reason not to investigate a problem.. its ridiculous!
- By Alli [gb] Date 18.02.05 15:48 UTC
What I find ridiculous is the fact that the lazy little character couldn't or wouldn't wait until he got to school, it's only 5 mins up the road. If one of my kids even thought about that go through them where they stood.

Isn't urinating in public an offence anyway?
- By Alli [gb] Date 18.02.05 15:53 UTC
Yeah I'm pretty sure it is, my ex hubby was fined one evening after a long night at the pub. The thing was I stopped him before he actually peed I should have let him get on with it and went out and embaressed the lad :D I'm sure he wouldn't have been quite so full of himself then.

Are the schools in your area on half term?  Ours don't go back until Monday.....

If that was the Police reaction, I'd be getting on the the papers AND my MP......

But then my Dander is up anyway, 'cos I've just had a run in with the mother's of some little 'darlings' who decided to try and push their way to the front of the queue at our local 'first come first served' play scheme........  they were winging about being 'passed over because they were Irish' - shame they didn't ask my surname - which is about as Irish as they come.....
- By Alli [gb] Date 18.02.05 16:05 UTC
What gets me is that some of the Mothers are as bad if not worse than the children, and they wonder why their kids play up and end up in trouble!

 Stupid chav

If I were you Alli Id get your dogs poo and put it all over his lawn and see if he likes that ;) or even better, throw it at him next time he comes to your house :D
Ohhhhh If only your fence was electric ;)
Hopefully it was just a stupid kid bored at half term and he wont do it again.

The police are getting worse, what exactly do they do all day.  My husband runs a group of garages. Wednesday night the following happened in one of them.

Three men broke their way into the shop with pick axes, threatened to chop the cashier into pieces.  Put a chain around the cash machine in the shop, chained it to the bumper of a 4wd.  Pulled the cash machine through the window of the shop, taking several counters full of stock through the window too and off they went.

The police took 20 minutes to arrive, had a look around and issued a crime number.  As the men were hooded they couldn't get a description.  Off they went, leaving a frightened cashier, a shop with no front and not to be heard from since.

This is third cash machine to be hit in as many weeks.  The police have not been interested in any of them, as they are not when drive off's occur on a regular basis.

Thats terrible, I can't believe that they aren't doing more to stop maniacs like this. I am of the impression that they should get them young and try to sort the problem out then as when they get to a certain age it seems some cannot be reformed. I have a neighbour who works in a prison and he says it is the same old faces that get brought in time after time. I suppose it throws open the nature/nurture debate. My brother got into quite alot of trouble when he was younger and the police came down really hard on him, now I'm not saying he was an angel straight away afterwards but he has turned out to be a fairly responsible adult with a family and a good job. I had to pop out for a wee while this evening and came back to find this young lad and a a friend with their girlfriends sitting on my wall. Thy moved off fairly quickly when they saw me though so I'm not too concerned, however I won't hesitate to call the police if anything kicks off.

His mug shot is probably already on the police database already so it wouldn't be difficult to identify him :)

The best thing to do if you see him again ring 999. They have to respond ;)

Well i've not yet been asked if i mind a picture being taken of me by CCTV or by a speed camera (Not that i ever have been!) but if i had robbed a bank i don't think they could really turn round and blame the bank for taking pictures of me robbing a bank! It seems really daft!

Police are doing 3 bits of paper work for every incident they go to :( :( :( Blame the goverment. Most coppers want to catch criminals but they are too busy doing the paper work that is expected of them they dont have time :( :( :(
lobby the goverment to get more coppers on the beat, and less money spent on useless things!!!!!! (will stop there before I get on my high horse!!!!!!!!!)
