Topic Dog Boards / Breeding / Good scanner in Scotland
- By Alli [gb] Date 18.02.05 15:29 UTC
Hi all I'm looking to have my girl scanned in the next couple of weeks, she is now day 25 and unless I am certain before then I would like to know as I have people waiting to here. I just wondered if any of the scottish people on here knew where I could find a sheep scanner as I have heard and read on here that they are the best there is. I did ask my ex hubby who does his sheep but he wasn't very forthcoming with an answer :D Nothing changes there lol
Thanks for your help

Where in Scotland are you Alli?
- By Alli [gb] Date 18.02.05 15:33 UTC
I'm in the ayrshire area, but I am willing to travel to find the right person.

My vets are in Lockerbie, your typical farming community vets :D and they are excellent. It was their sheep scanner they used on my Emma which detected an early pyo. PM me if you want their details

I'm sure I have them anyway Kay as you gave me their details when I was looking to get my girl hip scored. I assume it's the same vet. Oh thats terrible shows how bad I am for not deleting messages :D

Thanks anyway

Thanks to everyone for their help

I had my girl scanned this afternoon and the vet said that she definitely has 3 puppies, possibly more. So fingers crossed everything goes to plan and we get a healthy happy mum and a few healthy happy puppies too, just have to start thinking about names now :D

Hi Alli,

Congratulations :)  It's a relief having it confirmed, isn't it!

Best wishes, Teri

yes Teri it is a relief, I was pretty certain that we were having puppies, but after my older girl produced one puppy (luckily on her own without veterinary help) I want to be certain that if we have a singleton again I can be prepared for anything that might go wrong in advance. Oh well it's just the waiting now :D
