Who do you use for your travel insurance worldwide multi trip? It's a minefield out there with insurance, but the travel agents must be the most expensive

alliance and leicester give free worldwide travel insurance as standard if you have a current account with them.

I used Marks & Spencer last year, saved a fortune over the tour company.  I did have to put in a small claim too and they were very quick.

Avoid Esure - they ignore letters and make life as difficult as possible when you are ill in another country.  Very good in the initial stages of course until it came down to paying out.

We used M&S too and found them very reasonable and with good policy cover, ours was a world-wide policy.  They also do annual policies which might be best if you are on a multi trip. You can also get quotes on their website.
You need to be careful if anyone being covered has pre-existing conditions (eg asthma, which is really common nowadays) as some companies/policies exclude these from medical cover.  Make sure that you give the insurance company details of any pre-existing conditions and check that they will include cover for these (some companies may charge more to include these, but M&S just included this at no extra cost for us).

Thanks everyone, we finally went with Nationwide ( Mondial-assistance ins.) seemed good cover and came up cheaper than those suggested. Although Alliance and Leicester looks good if you have an account with them! ;)
Off to Cyprus mid March, never been before, so hope it is warm and sunny! Then who knows where in the summer months, maybe Atlanta USA where my younger sons girlfriend lives? I just love holidays!
