Millie has just got out of bed at 4.45pm.
And even then, only because 'daddy' just got home from work..

I'd take mine to the vets if they did that :D

My old JR instinctively knew it was raining and just laid under the duvet and only came out when dragged out to go to loo!
I could understand it from an old dog, but she's only 15 months!
She's never been a 'morning dog' and has been known to sleep in till 11am - and even when she does get up, she usually comes downstairs, goes out for a wee then snoozes for the rest of the morning, usually till about 3pm. But I've never known her stay in bed that late!
I suppose even dogs need their duvet days!
Gosh, our pair zoom down the stairs when I am standing with door held open for them to go out. Couldn't imagine them staying in bed all day - are you sure she is ok?
I'm pretty sure, she bounded down the stairs excitedly when OH got home, insisted on a game of tug of war with me, went out for a wee etc. She ate a full bowl of dinner in her usual 'could be my last meal' fashion, tried her best to beg our dinner as usual, went out for a walk happily, and has spent the night varying between playing with her toys and snoozing, which she is doing now.
I can't think of anything that could be wrong with her, and the signs all look good so I really do think it is just laziness. She does like a lay in and normally its only the call of nature that finally gets her up (or the postman), I think her bladder just held well today and so she stayed in bed. I was surprised that me cooking lunch didn't get her up (any sound from the kitchen cupboards normally has her flying down the stairs) but she ate a full bowl of Burns when she got up so she's not off her food either.
I will keep an eye on her, just in case ;-). I just hope she sleeps tonight!
