Sunday as I coming home from our walk wefound a little dog running about on a busy road caught her and phoned owner, yesterday while delivering meals I saw a rottie wandering towards the main road by herself so I stopped and caught her no tags so I phoned the dog warden she was lovely.
Just wondering if you see a stray dog do you stop?

Yes - made myself late for work many a day, catching a stray dog & finding someone to take it over....last time it was an elderly labrador (rather like our old girl, ambling along the A128!    I stopped, managed to catch hold of her, hauled her into my car, and drove into the nearest village, stopped at the post office & asked if anyone knew who she was, found out where she lived and took her home - turned out that the poor old girl was beginning to suffer from dementia & was always managing to dig her way out of the garden & wandering away.

Yes all the time. :) I am often seen jumping out my car and stopping traffic to catch dogs !

I have even done it for a mother duck with four ducklings ! :) I spotted them as they were about to cross the road on a busy roundabout so thought they would need a helping hand :) My husband was star and stopped the car across the road as I shooed them to safety:)

Yes about 10 years ago I was driving home from work and saw a collie running backwards and forwards over a busy road. Then she came and sat at a bus stop, I intended to check her ID and take her home. No ID. I took her home in the car intending to take her to the police. We opened the boot and she fled at top speed and disappeared! I was frantic. It was a bank holiday week-end and I spent the entire holiday walking round the area looking for this bitch. We traced the owners through the police, and they came over and helped with the search - a bit- the bloke turned out to have a drink problem and was so upset that he took to his bed and sobbed....We eventually located the dog on the Wednesday after the bank holiday, and reunited her with her owner. What a night-mare! I would hesitate to do it again...

My little girls friend as a beddlington. I saw it roaming the streets. Me and my 3 girls chased it round for 2 hours. Poor little thing thought it was great just playing a game of chase. Anyway we cought it in the end took it home and they didnt even know it had gone.
Next day the mother told me. Its ok to leave it, it just comes and goes. Some people. Beautiful thing it was too. They dont live round here now.

I lost Abby last year for 45 mins as she ran out of the park and I couldnt find her anywhere it was really scary I kept having these awful thoughts of her being hurt by a car and I wouldnt be there with her or someone stealing her so I cant understand why people just let their dogs roam.
The rottie I found was reunited with her owners I hope that they get her chipped and get a proper collar with discs.
