hi does anybody know if you are ment to report a pedigree dogs death to the kennel club.
my bully died because of nuerological defects and i know her sister has much the same.what if they breed her.im pretty worried as that would meen more pups suffering as mine did and then their would be a bad line of breeding wouldnt it

You do not have to report a death but I would pass what information you have on to the KC if you think it can be useful to them.

In your position I would get together a FACTUAL report of your girls condition (History, Vets reports etc) and send a copy to the Kennel clubs Health and Genetics Co-ordinator Dr jeff Sampson, and also one to each of the Breed Clubs so that they can look into the matter, and decide if there is an inherited health issue to investigate.

Sadly this will not prevent her breeder breedeing from or registering offspring from her sister, but one would hope that the y if reputable and concerned with the breeds welfare and health would choose not to do so.

I was assuming the breeder knows from the tone of the post, but could have got it wrong.  Of course the breeder should be told if they haven't been yet.
