There is a wide variation in the *type* of Labrador, especially between working and show. Show labradors are generally larger and this is maybe what you are after.
Your best bet is to go to a show, buy a catalogue and watch the labradors in the ring unitil you see the *type* you like. Then match the number they are wearing to the one in the catalogue and that will give you the info you are after. If you can say what part of the country you are in then either I, or someone else can tell you when/where shows are etc.

Balrions are show lines, and very nice too.  I wouldn't have said they were overly large though, judging by the few I've seen.  As far as I'm aware the Crooks moved back here from California recently and brought the Weathertop name with them.

Most American Labs seem to come from English lines.
The oversized Labs are not correct in any  country and often with the oversize issue you also have hip and elbow troubles .... because people who are not breeding to the standard generally don't care enough to health check.

There are however larger Labs available from good breeders - some are simply bigger dogs - just as some people are bigger than others.
I would suggest contacting the Lab Club and asking for details of breeders in your area and chatting with some experts.

Labs are NOT supposed to e very large dogs - if your heart is set on a very big dog - why not start to look at other breeds that may suit you better?

My summer is the  daughter of the Balrion/Weathertop, Am Champion, and she is anything but large Stocky yes, neat and compact, heavy boned, but will never be a large bitch.  Most of these offspring are certainly not large.
