Hollie was booked into be spayed on monday.
And she has only gone and developed milk!

Typical! She has never had a phantom pregnancy before.
I think she knew what we were planning and is reluctant to part with her bits!

Luckily she has only a teeny bit of milk so we should hopefully only be put back by a week or two at the most.

Just got my staff spayed this week.  She was producing milk about 5 weeks ago when we first took her. had to keep taking her back every other week until it dried up.  We had so many practice runs and i have to say, it was always a relief when we came home with her.  I'm glad she'd had it done though.  She was a bit tired after the op, but the next day she was dashing around like usual.  Its so hard to calm her down.  Are you booked in to go back?

I'm just going to keep popping in every couple of days with her.
I think I'll pop in on monday and see what they say then. Knowing my luck she will be in season again before we get there and I'll have to wait all over again!
But there doesn't seem to be a lot of milk...but her teats are dragging along the floor almost!

had Giorgia spayed at 6 months and she was feeling very sorry for herself the first night but after that it was back to normal, playng and running around. She had a few weeing accidents during the day in the first week but after that she was fine. Vet said that was normal and to keep an eye .

Well we went for a check up yesterday and everything was fine so today is the day.
She's looking at me now as if to say "Wheres me bleeding breakfast?" !!!!
I'll let you know how we get on.

Pick up a bottle of Homeopathic Arnica 30c tablets and give her 3 a day, they help with healing etc.

Hugs for her

Thank you.
I picked some Arnica up from the health shop this afternoon and have given her one.
She seems to be doing ok....still quite groggy but to be expected as she was the quietest this morning and so they left her til last!
Currently looking like she is feeling very sorry for herself and with 3 kids and another dog running round she needs a bit of space so I'm going to bundle everyone upstairs pretty soon :D

Great, glad you got the Arnica.  Give her another before bed tonight.  If she's still a bit groggy, try to get her in the garden for a wee bit fresh air if possible, that'll help.  Hope she's getting some quiet and space from the kids and other dog now:-)  Some cuddles from mummy will do her the world of good, but then, you know that:-)

Sending her Reiki

Yes the kids have been bathed and bedded and the other dog seems to have sensed his mom needed some peace and quiet so he's left well alone and she's curled up in her basket now.
