i am feeling really really sad today.
I have been offered a puppy from one of the best bitches in this country, in my breed, and i can't believe i have had to say no, because my dad has been diagnosed with a form of leukeamia and i will be helping my mum look after him. My other dogues can come with me to her place, she has plenty of room, but i don't think it would be fair to buy this puppy bacause i will not have the time to look after and train properly, but i am so tempted. I might not ever get this chance again as this is probably going to be her last litter. The breeder was keeping them all, but decided to sell one bitch and one dog. It was my turn on the waiting list. I can't believe this has come at such a bad time, i am truly devestated, i have followed this bitch from when i first ever saw her and totally fell in love, i would of loved one of her pups.

Sorry to hear about your Dad - I hope they can sort him out. As for the puppy - never mind, the next one will be even better.

If it's for you, it won't go by you ....... so just concentrate on your Dad for the time being - things do have a habit of working out in the end!

Could you not have the pup,I realise your goner be looking after your dad
but sometimes we all need something to take us away from all our troubles
so long as you could cope with a pup then go for it.

Claudia, these things often happen for the best in the long run. Doesn't help you now, but in the future you'll probably find something even better happens. Believe me - been there!

Sorry to hear about your dad and, if it helps I know how you feel. Two years ago my own dad had a severe stroke so us getting a dog was, again, put on hold for yet another year but looking back I know we couldnt have coped with a dog then.
Luckily after we were settled and dad was able to walk again we got our first dog from a rescue and I couldnt imagine life without him :).
Maybe that pup wasn't meant for you but I hope that you will eventually be in the right situation to have another one and, if it helps, I think you made the right decision :)
