Topic Other Boards / Foo / Crufts should i go saturday or sunday?
- By GreatBritGirl [gb] Date 08.02.05 14:27 UTC
im looking 2 book me some tickets for crufts but cant decide if i want to go saturday or sunday, cant go in the week cos i will be at uni.

When would you go?
- By Lindsay Date 08.02.05 14:44 UTC
Personally I'd go on the day that was most interesting for me - if people i knew were to be there etc. or if there were events i felt i would learn something from, or enjoy most.
Also i'd have to go on  pastoral day because otherwise i'd miss my chosen breed :)

sat & sun are busier than thurs fri.
sometimes you can pick up some bargins on the sunday though! :)
best just go on which day is most intersting

im going on thurs,to support the western ob team (inc flynns mum jess who is working C),& hope to do all the shopping & discover dogs on thatday as it is quieter

then on sunday as its pastoral day & also the ob world cup, which is fab,so i can just sit a veg out watching that, & do abit of late shopping when everybody else goes home! :)

Oooooh no no no, go 10 March, I think its a Thursday!! Thats only cos its terrier day.  I would say go for the day your fave dog(s) are showing.  If you're supposed to be working take the day off or throw a sickie.  It's a great day out :)

I am glad Terrier day is Thursday this year,  plenty shopping done without being stood on ever 10 seconds ;-)

Im gutted gundog day is on Saturday, its going to be so busy :(
- By Blue Date 08.02.05 16:30 UTC
I find the weekend days so hard work but probably lighter on the pocket as you can't be bothered fighting your way through.. :-) I would love to stay to Gundog day but there is always a day between terrier day and Gundog day.

I have to say that I normally go on gundogs day but do dislike it being at the weekend. Last year I found myself getting quite upset at a lot of the judging of Labs, I do believe that a lab should look as if it is capable of a days work and many of the ones in the show ring are now so short legged and heavy. It is almost like they are becoming a different breed.

I had to go look at the keepers ring to cheer myself up!

I would personally choose sunday over saturday due to bargins (no stall holders want to go home with a lorry full of stuff!) and so alot of things go cheep, espectially useful things like soak up cloths, they go for near on pennies on sunday evening!

Personally though I like going all four days...and guess what I get to do this year!!! :D :D :D :D

I am going saturday to see my beloved American Cockers and sunday for the Shelties!
Counting the days!
- By wheaten_mad [gb] Date 09.02.05 15:30 UTC
I would go on the sunday as the different stalls will have offers on as its the last day. Some of the stalls have to sell a certain amount of their product at the show so they have really good offers on at the end of the day :)

- By wheaten_mad [gb] Date 10.02.05 14:33 UTC
I think that if i was a professional shopper i would spent all the money i earned!!! I love crufts! It just so happen that my birthday is on the 31st of march so i spent all my birthday money at crufts!! :D I love buying the dogs stuff and this year will be extra fun cause we have two puppies to buy for! I am gonna get them sonme new toys cause Dougal has bit big holes in the ones that he has got and we have had to throw them away  :D Naughty boy! We also need and grooming table.

Yes I'm also looking for a grooming table, but finding a 42" is proving to not be the easiest!
