Just have to tell you all, on Friday I pick up a new addition to the pack. He's a b+w BC, aged 8mths, from Battersea. It was a complete fluke, I just emailed someone expressing interest, he was still up for rehoming, chatted to his foster carer, who asked if I could clone myself for all the other collies needing homes, then had an agonising weekend waiting for mum to make a decision (managed to convince her 3 was not much different to 2). Tonight she finally said yes, much to my surprise.

His name is Spike, but I think that is a daft name, especially for an agility collie! So I am going to shorten it to Spy. I have already filled in his KC reg. form! His only problem is severe sep. anxiety, which I think I can handle, although any offers of advice are as always greatly appreciated. He is already fed raw, so that's handy.

I'll keep you posted on how we get on.

Lucky Bugger!  I wish we had the room and I could persuade my OH for another one.  I love BC to death and would love to rescue them all. 

I hope all goes well.

As to the separation anxiety.  Start off small and work up.  The best thing for me was a having a sign that I was leaving.  I get their stuffed kongs out about 30 minutes before I leave and put them on the fish tank.  They then know I am going to leave and calm down.
