A great pity that you will end up using the nearest available dog when much more could have been achieved by forward planning. 

Guest - if someone on here contacts you and says you can use his/her dog, do you know by looking at the pedigree that it will be suitable? Do you know what faults your bitch has so you can avoid the same faults in the stud dog? Do you know that the puppies will not carry any inherited diseases because you know what lines in both dam and sires pedigree may result in these problems if bred together? Or will you be happy for your bitch to give birth to puppies as long as you dont have to inconvenience yourself with a long journey to find the RIGHT stud and if the puppies have problems later it doesnt really matter because they are no longer your problem? Please learn about your breed before letting your girl have puppies.

The other posters have given good but perhaps hard advice.

Now assuming you really would like to do things properly may I suggest the following:

1) Forget this season as you haven't enough time for the needed research to breed a litter responsibly.

2) Assuming you got your girl from a reputable knowledgeable expereinced breeder (frankly if she didn't then she is unlikely to be of breeding quality) then contact them for an appraisal of your bitch.  They will know your bitches lines and which males may make a suitable match for her once they ahve seen her and evaluated her.

3) Why not have a go at showing her, that way you will get other opinions on ehr quality, and it will also allow you to see mles and their offspring from which you may like to chose a mate with your breeders support.

4) You need to bear in mind that this is not a particularly popular breed with the general public for jusrt a pet.  In order to sell your pups into good homes you will need to have the dupport of other breeders and the breed clubs, as most enquiriers for the breed are likely to contact them for information about available litters.  You also have to be awre that soem of the wrong sort of perople may be attracted to ypur breed, those who purely want a dog for coursing and will dicard it if it doesn't hunt well or gets injured, or may overbreeed it to produce more coarsing lurchers that sadly fill our local dogs homes.

Breedeing a litter is very time conswuming (you will be responsible for the pups wellbeing for the rest of tehri lives) and expensive if done properly.  You may find it a lot less stressful and cheaper to go back to your girls breeder for another puppy from the same family.
