can you tell me how old adog is before you can tell what its going to be like with other dogs.  Mine is nearly 16 months he is a x.  He is very friendly with other dogs and just wants to play.  He will just run away from dogs if they are not friendly with him.  He is very timid with people and will bark at things he is frightened of, such as strangers, prams, shopping trolleys etc.  He has been very well socialised and plays with dogs in our local park every day, he has never shown any aggression until the other day when a 27 week old akita, who he sees regularly, was eating biscuits with him.  My dog snacked at him and so did the akita.  Also any advice would be helpful as to stopping him barking at people who is does not know.

Most dogs, no matter how good their temperaments, don't take kindly to sharing food! Even dogs who get on really well have strong ideas about food and don't do sharing. I wouldn't worry too much, just make sure there's no food around when other dogs are about. As for the barking at people, it sounds as if he didn't see many people when he was younger. I would take him to a GOOD training class where he can see plenty of dog friendly people and build up his confidence. Get him out & about as much as possible & when he's frightened, don't reinforce this by making a fuss of him, just be matter of fact & show him you're not scared!
