My westie bitch is on day 49 and up to this morning was glowing, a short time ago i saw the mucus had changed to a slight yellow phoned the vet straight away as its her first litter. the vet that i spoke to first was'nt to concerned but still going to see them this afternoon. should i be worried about her aborting the puppies.
just back from the vet and all seems well, temp normal and after internal the vet was pleased because the cervix is still tight and no sign of more discharge and just to put my mind at ease they did another scan and i saw two little hearts beating away.
it is such a relief after the scare this morning.
So pleased everything is ok with your girl, keep us informed of any progress
Good luck
seems very similar to what i have just gone through, and, my little girl naturally delivered perfect puppies
thankyou for your reply's, its now more than 24hrs since the change in the mucus and i've calmed down a lot, she seems really well and is still eating as if theirs no tomorrow. But i will be glad when the puppies arrive safe and sound.
