Just needed to tell like minded people ,ive just taken my girl to a very good vet and she confirmed pregnancy. I havent been this excited since i had my own.I  know its not going to be a run in the park, but at least i have the reassurance of all your experience. yes this is our first litter how did you guess?

LOL I know the feeling as one of my vets(sadly now deceased)was an expert at "feeling"puppies, when he called one day(as a lot of vets used to do)to pass the time of day & pick up some lunch(used have a "proper"fish & chip shop)I mentioned that we had mated my bitch, LOL he insisited on seeing her & had a quick feel & advised me she was having 8 puppies ! In due course she had exactly that, he was rarely more than one puppy out & usually got it spot on He even popped in to see her as she was whelping & brought a student vet to see a normal birth(well being a GSD she took her time like 24 hours of a puppy every 2 1/2 hours on the nail with a break of 4 hours in the middle !)

I know nowadays some people would frown on having extras at a whelping but the student he brought is now my vet & it wasn't unusually back in the 60's/70's to have a bitch whelp"in public"& this bitch was a very outgoing girl who actually liked going to the vets

I'd get well rested up & prepared for the event ;)
