Which breed?

Isn't Kenmillen the affix the KC use when the breeder doesn't have their own?  In which case, if that is correct, that wouldn't be much help in locating the original breeder I'm afraid.

Why not....doesn't mean the dam didn't come from recognised lines!
If we know the breed we may be able to find the litter in the BRS....please register guest(its free) and we'll try to help

It does make it harder since obviously with an affix  someone is more likely to know the breeder.However since this time we have an exact DOB and name of sire and dam if we know the breed we can find the breeder in the Breed record suppliment.:d The breeder may or maynot be interested in how the dog is now doing....but if the poster wants to try and find out some of her dogs aancestry its the only way.

Actually the Ken affixes are given when the breeder hasn't bothered tio anme the puppies at all.  a lot of people who are breeding a one off litter, just give them names Like Flpsy Mopsy Lady Sue etc, but some, especially the commercial ones can't be bothered even to do that, but the Kennel Club are now going to charge for making up names for pups when the brteeder hasn't.

Basically without an affix ist is harder to identify a puppy with any particular breeder or parentage.  You may need to give the names of Grandparents etc to find the lines, there may be no recognisable lines, just a mish mash of pet names for generations, in that case the dog is often not very typical of it's breed.

The breed record supplement gives the following information;

Kenmillen Korbel is by Playful Aura out of Llanddeiniolen Lass,

There were 9 puppies in the litter she came from 7 bitches, 2 dogs, it was Kenmillen Korbel's  first litter, she was  born 03//12/00, her litter whelped 15/09/02, so personally I would have considered her far too young to breed.

I found Llanddeiniolen Lass in a previous BRS, her parents have no affixes either.

Playful Aura is a weimaraner.  Lots of weimaraners have had to be rehomed by this sire.  He is used quite a lot.   Julie you said that it was her first litter..... maybe not as I know that the people who have used playful aura in the past "register" with Dog Lovers too.  This is how they get around have 2 litters a year out of one bitch.

How long have you had Lucy?
