My grandmas Black Labrador , Jack has started to become crafty and yesterday I found him in the toilet eating a bar of Soap !!!!!
Is this normal as I am worried?!?

It seems to be a labrador foible! My old one polished off several bars of Coal Tar soap with absolutely no ill-effects at all.

I'm sure it normal but not acceprable John & other Lab owners will answer you. I've dogs that have eaten plaster off the walls & it never affected them

I agree it won't hurt him my dogs eat everything including super glue, plastic toys, wood, plaster ect but none of it has ever done any damage but obviously it is not a good habit to have so maybe you should just try to encourage him not to do it

Labs seem to love soap - I wouldn't worry, but keep it out of reach in future. Labs, especially youngsters, teach you to be ultra tidy and keep things out of their reach.

Just a word of warning soap if ingested can cause the heart to race and have abnormal beats so best to keep it well out of the way.

I wouldn't worry yourself too much, honestly Labs will eat anything they can get their mouths round. x
