- By amanda jane [gb] Date 29.01.05 22:57 UTC
i have a staff that suffers from these mites and i have been told by different vets that they are not infectous but since being told that i have got 2 more staffs that have got them. Now they are not related in any way and none of them have a history of it so can anyone out there ple let me know if they have had this themselves and tell me what they have been told. I also want to breed from my bitch and some vets have said that this is ok but others have said no because the pups might get it what do i do?

amanda jane - think about it...if you had a staff with mites and you got another 2 who then got mites - then surely any future pups are at risk of getting the mites aswell regardless of what the vet says? put breeding to the back of your mind for a while - your girls are too young yet :)

very true! I have to say that i know what I would do if I had a stud that contracted this from a bitch - sue the owners for loss of earnings!
