How long do you have to wait for hip scores?  It's nearly 5 weeks since I had my girl done and the wait is killing me !
- By John [gb] Date 25.01.05 14:31 UTC
Patience! The pannel only meet so many times a year so it can take a while. Particulaly if you just missed the last sitting! I know how you suffer waiting though! :)

Can you find out if one is due or not?
- By perrodeagua [gb] Date 25.01.05 18:38 UTC
The wait for them is terrible I've only had 2 of mine done up to now, the last one was done on Christmas Eve and the wait for her results is unbearable.  I'll have my other girl done later on in the year when I can afford it :d

Not to my knowlege Claudia. It may be but I've only ever waited heart in mouth!

I know some results have been going out this week as some BC folk have been announcing theirs on a list I'm on so it depends if you've caught this session or not.
Not really alot of help that is it :D

Thats strange when I rang the BVA in London they told me depending how many scores are waiting they sit can sit twice a week in London to do them I've never waited more than 4 wks last lot done just before xmas .Now due to get another dog so will wait with interest how long.

I know some vets wait until they done a group of them then send off as a batch lot off to the panel instead sending them straight away which all adds time  worth checking with your vet when indeed they actually sent them, its not unusal for vets to forget send them week or 2 later to the panel as happened to a friend who was mad considering how much you pay.

Briony ;-)

I sent mine off on the 6.1.05 and i got the results on the 22.1.05 but i must admit it is usually 4 weeks, have you rung your vetto see if he has them back and sitting in a IN tray somewhere!! :)

Yeah, Lana's came this morning and I'm quite pleased, wish they were slightly lower but 10 wasn't bad, so I'm quite happy now :d  Phew it's a long 5 weeks wait.

Blimey Diane, Id of thought you'd be really pleased with a 10, thats one of the lowest scores in the breed, my 2 are 10 & 16 which I was really pleased with considering some of them that have been 30 or more.Just got to wait for her season now then, me too, its like watching a kettle coming to the boil, is it ever gonna happen, !!!!!!Lol.

Bit of green eyed monster, her sister scored 4 so would of liked her to be half of what she is, but yeah truthfully I'm happy.  Another two have been scored won't say their scores but under 20 and above 10 so again not too bad !!  Yeah, we've got 3 over 30 but we've got a damn sight more under 15, thankfully !!

They are good scores tho' & like Malcolma Willis says a dog is more than a pair of hips

Totally agree with you unfortunately some people who know nothing about health, breeds, dogs as such come into them and ruin them !  It will be a long time before we know if our breed has a problem and 3 with fairly high scores out of a number of dogs that have been scored doesn't mean that we've got one and at least now we are getting people to look into it more to ensure that we don't get one.

I'm pleased HONEST, but Jenny is getting to know my wicked sense of humour slowly, good job she doesn't know the real me yet ! :d  Now I've got another one to do, but hers is just a lets see as she's 11 years old but i'll also be doing her daughter nearer the end of the year before breeding a litter from her.  The wait is terrible though for the scores sure I've lost a few pound.

I know what you mean about the season bit too, Lana was due in last month, she must be waiting until her score came through so hopefully shortly she will come in, everythings crossed now !

Yes it'll be nice to see even more pups out and about, it was great seeing the ones last weekend.
Wicked sense of humour heh, me, bit of a practical joker, hahaha.
Committee meetings may never be the same again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes but with me everyone thinks I'm really quiet, so when the sarcastic comment comes out people don't realise as Diane wouldn't think of something like that :d  As they say you've got to watch the quiet ones.

I liked the little white and brown one and was happy with Carina's black boy.  Ooh, yes, I'm hoping as I say for a brown and white girl, so fingers crossed.
