i want to thank everyone who responded to my articles on eye ulcers/entropian, sadly my manson was put to sleep this morning.
We were told at his check up last night that is eye had deteriated rapidly .If you have read my messages you will know that he has had 6 eye operations since he was 4 months old and has been in constant discomfort and pain. Our hearts are broken and i cannot stop crying, seeing all his toys and medication and his collar and lead ..... we could not bear to see him suffer any more and we were suffering to.and our children who i have yet to tell will be devastated also.
Its so important that we give our dogs all the love and care they need, as they are only with us a short time
i feel as tho i have lost a family member, the house is so quiet without him...
i know we all tryed to give him the best of everything and he loved us as much i we loved him even tho he was with us 19 months, probaly 2 of them he was problem free.
he is at peace now and no more suffering in his short life...... i hope this pain goes away.........
julie :(
You poor thing. Heart goes out to you all.

I'm so sorry Julie-Anne. His life should really only just have been beginning.
John xx
i know john, i think that is what makes it harder because he was only still a puppy and his life was just starting but he was happy for a short time and i will never forget him, he was a very special dane

I'm so sorry. What a terrible decision for you to have to make, but bless you for putting Manson's welfare first.
The pain does get easier to bear, and in time you'll be able to look back and smile at the good times, instead of crying at the bad. Remember him with love.

I'm so sorry too Julie. Although Manson's life was short, you made it very special for him and gave him the greatest gift you could at the end by allowing him to go with peace and dignity.
Take care

My heart goes out to you {{{{big hugs}}}}}} your world has fallen in, and only time will help you heal, but not forget. It's not consolation I know, but soon you will remember the good times and be able to look back in joy, not isolation and devastation. Take care XXX
