Kizzy was taken ill on Wednesday night, she asked to be let out for a poo about 2 in the morning and it was a tad soft but not runny, this morning she started being sick, and blood in her motions, she also had a horrable smell (yes i know what your thinking, surely she has had her vaccs. Yes she has) the vet feels this may be a form of parvo that has mutated and stronger then ever. She is on a drip and anti biotics. If you believe in God please pray for us if not just keep everthing crossed. She is such a sweet little girl and we love her so much. I have to ring in the morning. Will keep you posted. Viv
will keep everything crossed and be thinking of you
Thinking of you all, and have our fingers crossed. My mums Briard has recently pulled through severe bloat, so there is always hope. Keep us all posted.

Hope all goes OK. Keep us up-to-date.

Have to ring back at 4 this afternoon, she is doing quite well and hasn't been sick since 6 this morning, but the next few hours are critical, they dont think it is parvo now but a very nasty gastri virus. Thanks for all your good wishes, it really does help to know that others know how you feel and how worried and hurting it is. Viv

Fingers crossed, hope all is well, thinging of you.
Sheila.
Hi Viv, sorry to hear about your girl, hope she gets better & home soon :)
You could ask your vet to take a fecal/blood sample & have him send it off to Glasgow Diagnostic Uni for a diagnosis what she`s got if you really want to know. Without a lab test you`ll never know & your vet shouldn`t be guessing. Mention of parvo & folk naturally get worried, even worse to tell you its a mutated & stronger strain, bet you were nearly frightened to death!!!! Mostly the treatments pretty much the same for these gastric virus/infections & if caught early gets it sorted out :)

Everything crossed here....

For sure something is going around. I have been amazed lately on my walks with my baby the amount of liquid squirts about. My little one always has her nose to the ground (a real scavanger) Not everyone has there pets welfare first and gets it checked out by the vet, a real worry. My thoughts are with you and your baby.
