Why does MSN suggest you register with web based hotmail.
What's wrong with just using your own POP3 (PC based) email address?
I know that means you can sign on to msn from any PC,
but if you only intend doing so from your own PC,
are there any other reasons why you shouldnt use your own email (ie, security) on msn?
Also, was just trying to create a hotmail email address.
Filled in all the forms, but the damn country of origin drop down menu refuses to move from the good ole U S of A.
Everytime I scroll up and click on UK, the green progress bar reappers at bottom of screen and starts the page again..all within about 3 seconds,
before I can click the "I Agree" button.

Anyone any ideas to get round this??

cheers, clutha

yup tell them you want to use your address.  I can never remember the way to do this (there is away, I do it!) I have always found if you want to become a member of an MSN group then join from a group and it works.

They insit on hotmail because hotmail is MSN!  But you can use a POP3, yahoo, AOL etc if you want :)
