We are looking to buy a Chocolate Labrador puppy (ideally a bitch and preferably from a working strain but would also consider a show strain). We live in Somerset and are willing to travel approximately 2 hours. If you have any availability within the next few weeks/months, please send an email to philldodden@aol.com. Many thanks in advance.

You will be hard put to find a Chocolate Labrador from working lines I'm afraid guest. There are a few people working them but they are very thin on the ground. I can't help thinking that you are going to have a long wait with possibly nearer 20 hours travelling time required to get there when and if you find one.

Even good yellow workers are in short supply with a friend of mine having to wait nearly a year for the one of his choice. Blacks are the easiest to find, yellows harder and chocolates almost impossible.

Regards, John
