Hello
Can anyone think of anywhere on-line that I can buy a matress? Both my OH and I have come down with terrible bad backs and I think its down to needing a new bed but they all seem so expensive....after Christmas I can't really afford to spend £300-£600 on a matress.
Your help would be appreciated otherwise I will be on here moaning ALL THE TIME! hee hee!

It's probably better to wait until you can afford to buy a good quality one :) Have you tried putting a wooden board under the old mattress - it might make it a bit more bearable until you can get a new one :)

I find the opposite - a board under the mattress just pushes my back into even stranger shapes - I need a soft mattress that will accomodate my 'curves'.......
Have you thought about a mattress topper they are like a continental quilt that lies on your mattress, i bought one and its the next best thing to sliced bread IMO,
ohh that sounds good! Where can I get one of those?
I'd always prefer to try a matress before buying it, so wouldn't be keen to buy one online? I'd suggest buying a really good one too, the one I have just now is great, what an investment!

Ikea do a good range of them :)
It helps if your body can mould into the bed rather than a hard bed :)

Can't remember the exact saying, but 'you spend your life either in your bed or in your shoes, so you should buy the best that you can afford of both'. I find this very true :) :)

It's sometimes cheaper buying a new bed than just the mattress.
