I don't like to say this but is there a new wave of owners going for breeds such as Akita's I have seen and read Sarstaffs post and realised while just reading the age of the AKita owner that I on my council estate and B'ham in general see more Akita's with young lads in their late teens early 20's? Why?

Not new by a long shot Karen- at least not around here

Maybe it is around here then - hmm it's not loads of them Lel - just I've seen about 7-8 in the past couple of weeks and to be honest not one of the lads looked like they had control over them. There is one Akita who has lived on the estate for years and he is gorgeous. And seeing these two on the walk today made me realise how much out of control the others were.

Maybe its just local to me - maybe someone breeding them en masse around West Mids.
