im interested in starting to show but need advice, i have no idea where these shows are i live in middlesbrough, what do i look for in a pup (stafford) what training is involved any advice at all
please please help

If you contact your local Staffie Club-North Eastern SBT Club   www.staffords.co.uk/nesbtc.

They will be able to give you help and advice as to where and when there are shows, and they will be able to help you with finding a puppy and the training etc,

That's a good start Lady D!  Do tell them that you're looking for a puppy to show, and if she grows good enough, then you may like to breed.

Try your local ringcraft as already mentioned - it is great fun :)
Try popping along to a few shows and seeing what it entails :)

Order Dog World or Our dogs (weekly papers) from your newsagent - shows are advertised and you can go along and watch and talk to exhibitors

Be carefull though, they are addictive !!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Kerrie, I noticed you are in Middlesbrough, there are loads of shows around the North East region. There is one on 27/02/05 at the Nissan Plant in the Sunderland/Washington area. There are 5 classes scheduled for Staffords so there should be quite a few there.

If you go on the internet and type in dog shows it will bring up a list of all shows also if you go to ringcraft generally they will have a list of shows there. Also if you type in staffordshire bull terrier puppies on a search engine on the internet then you will find a list of good well established breeders failing that if you phone the kennel club they can send you a book of breeders and puppies that they know off at the moment
