My OH and I were hoping to go to Thailand this year, the plan was to spend two or three weeks travelling around a bit and staying at different places seeing all the sights maybe do a bit of diving and of course sun bathing ;)
After the Tsunami now we arent sure where we will be able to go (I had my heart set on most of the places that was hit by it) does anyone know of a website which will give that information? Also we arent sure what time of year to go, I would quite like to go in September / October time but does anyone know what the weather is like then? Obviously we want it to be hot with not too much rain (preferably none ;) ) but my OH is a bit of a wuss when it comes to heat so it cant be too hot otherwise he wont stop whinging :D :D
Any advice/suggestions much appreciated
Claire :)

Well can't speak for Thailand but thought I'd bump the topic for you :)
I've been looking through the Winter Sun first choice brochure & can't believe how cheap Morroco, Tunisia & the Red Sea Riviera is. Looks like Hubby will be dogsitting next November :D
Well I went to Thailand a few years back and I can't recommend it highly enough. The part of Thailand hit by the Tsunami was Phuket I believe, but we went to Pattaya. It was fantastic. The people are lovely, lots to see and do, elephants walking in the street, markets, beautiful beaches, delicious food and so on. We went over Christmas so I can't say what the weather is like in September. If you can find out though, I would keep to the plan for Thailand. I have also been to Tunisia (Hammamet), about 20 years ago now though. That was a lovely holiday too and things will have changed a lot by now. I would say, if you have got the chance to go to Thailand, you won't regret it.
