Hello All,

I have a questions about my Labradore pup. He is 14 weeks old and is being feed on dry puppy food. However, when I put his food down he seems to go over to it and take a couple of pieces and walk away. He seems to be very distracted with every thing around him. Having only just got I have noticed he has been doing this for the past couple of days. Should I be concerned? or is it him just being a pup. Any help would be appreciated.
Many thanks
Simone

Are you feeding him on the same food that he was being given before you got him? Many pups lose their appetites when they change homes; it's an enormous upheaval for them, and can put immense strain on their physical and mental health (remember your first day at a new school?). Changing the variety of food (and water) too quickly can cause quite nasty tummy upsets too so he may be feeling a little off-colour. Offer him his food at his normal mealtimes (he's no doubt down to three meals a day now) and take it up after 15 minutes; and of course don't give him treats between meals! Good luck!
:)
