i had my bully scanned and was told there was definately no pups, but she has all the signs of pregnancy, she was 28 days post mating when she was scanned is it possible that she went too soon.

At four weeks puppies would normally be detected by a scan, a freind of mine had her Cocker bitch scanned at just under four weeks and the scan was negative, her bitch had seven pups three weeks ago, (not advertising, all spoken for). I myself have a Cocker bitch that i have just had scanned (should have been five weeks in whelp) no pups this time. Holly is however showing signs of pregnancy, very quiet nipples are swollen and she even looks larger underneath. Most probably your girl is going to have a phantom. If you are still doubtful you could always take her back for another scan in a couple of weeks.
