Hi to everyone, and can I say what a fantastic board this is. I have registered, however appear to have problem with enabling cookies(?) am at work, so will try it again when I get home!
Anyway... onto my question!
I have now had Edward (Border Terrier) for four and a half weeks. He will be 13 weeks old on Saturday. Edward is fed complete dry puppy food, however some of his pooh is a little soft (forgive me for such detail). Is there anything that I could give him to help this? He is currently being fed on Purina Omega Tasty Puppy with chicken. He has been on this food all the time that I have had him, and always had the same results when going to the loo!
If it is a case of changing food, what do you suggest? I appreciate all dogs are different, but a little advice would be great.
Many thanks

It may be you are feeding him a little too much which can have this effect otherwise I would give your breeder a ring she may be able to recommend something else that she uses for her dogs if this does not agree with them, I say this because she will know the breed and her lines the best (assuming she is an experienced breeder) otherwise it is just trial and error which may cause a lot of problems in a puppy of such tender age.
Regarding cookies ..........don't feed them to the puppy :D seriously though I think there is something in the FAQ section about correcting this problem.
This will help as regards to your problem logging on! :)
Many thanks, now working!
Hi Isabel
Many thanks for your reply, all of which I have taken on board. Will reduce his food slightly to see how that goes.
Looking forward to taking part on these boards.
Welcome to you, glad everything's working now :)
Hi, and welcome to the board. :)
I, too have a 13 week old puppy. She is fed on Autarky, and bits of coal, and bits of grass, and bits of....don't think I need to go on :D I would agree that you are probably overfeeding a little. You will find that puppies in the same litter will eat different amounts of food. Some will be greedy, whilst others won't need quite so much. It really is trial and error. Just when you get it right they do a growing spurt and you have to start again :D
Hi Lindylou
Thanks for your reply. Have cut down a little, so I'll see how my boy goes... literally. LOL!
At the minute he is fast asleep under my desk here at work.... its such a hard life.
