And how would yo7u be able to help, as you don't know yourself, fist wanting cross breed with fanciful made upo name and then asking what breeds people on forum liked???????   Very strange!!!!
- By andy_s80 [gb] Date 21.01.05 17:42 UTC
i think perhaps someone is trying to annoy people and cause a few disagreements along the way!!

looks like its working too....

Oh people, she's just a bairn. Remember those horrid teen angst years :D
- By Jeangenie [gb] Date 19.01.05 19:03 UTC
And I'm sure she doesn't want to feel patronised by people being kind 'because she's a bairn'! ;) If I can remember all those decades ago, at that age I badly wanted to be taken seriously ...
:)
- By Brainless [gb] Date 19.01.05 19:16 UTC
Ah that might explain it.  I know it is risky to give an age, but it does explain things if you know the poster is a child and not a mature (or 0therwise) adult :D

Brainless...read the idle chat board...will explain things

I wasn't being patronising, thats just your interpretation :)

Why is this person still being allowed to advertise a site and hasn't been banned.  People in my opinion have been banned for less than this ! She doesn't even know what she wants let alone what other people should have.
- By ice_queen Date 20.01.05 21:14 UTC
I agree perrodeagua.  Mnay people have been banned for much less then this, some very valid members of the group who had alot of good to offer to us all and whom alot of us wanted answers from.

Lou, you are just getting a bad name for yourself (and with it a bad name for alot of youngsters I think!)

You can't go posting something against TOS it just won't work, you'll only turn everyone against you, we all obied by the TOS so why can't you!?  We want this to be a place of disscussions, not arguments or being getting annoyed!
- By KateL [ch] Date 21.01.05 17:19 UTC
Very true Rox (about giving a bad name to youngsters ) :)  I'm a youngster myself (midteens), and really all I want to do is learn all I can. :)  Not be knocked down cause of my age.
- By Jeangenie [gb] Date 21.01.05 17:30 UTC
Kate, of course you want to learn all you can; we all want to do that (even us oldies don't know everything and want to learn more)! But do you think that in your midteens you know enough about a subject to set up a website to instruct others?

Michelle, there's a saying "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing" and this particular case proves it - if the advice (albeit given with the best of intentions) is wrong it could result in unhappy dogs and owners.
- By ice_queen Date 21.01.05 17:35 UTC
JG, I know myself, although I may be able (and have done) set up my own website, I would NEVER be able to tell someone what breed of dog would suit them.  Infact I don't think ANYONE can, it's a very delicate subject.

lou, if you are intrested in setting up websites why not do one about you and your dogs, maybe even do one for your friends aswell so they all have a website.
- By michelled [gb] Date 24.01.05 12:36 UTC
i do agree, but i think the tone of posts to lou on this & other threads is actuually too much like "bullying"
as we are adults surely we can advise a kid without ripping her aparet each time she posts????????
lets tell her why its not a great idea so she can think of the consquences etc
- By Jeangenie [gb] Date 20.01.05 21:30 UTC
I don't know why this thread hasn't been pulled like all the other ones started on the same theme.
- By Fillis Date 21.01.05 13:01 UTC
Apart from anything else, some poor soul may think the website is run by someone who can be relied on for sound advice.
- By michelled [gb] Date 21.01.05 13:25 UTC
abc lou,i hope you enjoyed making your site, but it is a big responsibily to offer people advice on a breed for them, especially if they arent experinced. what if someone tried to sue you for giving poor advice?

Rox,are you on any junior lists that abc lou might find helpful?

the rest of you,its really easy to "bully" a kid, lets try to give her some helpful advice & teach about our breeds.
- By ice_queen Date 21.01.05 17:29 UTC
Would I be able to post them on here.  I am owner/ maeger of one and go on another, they are not big but are growing slowly, would I be allowed to openly post them...GREAT IDEA michelle

second thought just remembers there's PM's!  :D silly me for forgetting!
