Hi There,

Does anyone know of anywhere to buy good dirt trapper mats, I know the turtle Mats are good but they are sold out until mid feb, I am knicking myself now as there were loads of stock at Christmas. Obviuosy we are all fed up with the muddy wet paws!

Thanks
Karen

Can anyone remember the name of the company who used to sell second hand mats at dog shows?  I used to buy them at the southern shows but have lost their details.

LOL,

I'm a skinflint, I use rubber-backed cotton bath mats :D  more choice of colours, washable, efficient and a fraction of the price :D :D just remember fabric softener hinders water adsorbtion tho ;)

Buy a big one and cut it up - they don't fray!

Hi Thanks these are really cheap, do they look nice are they made of cotton it doesn't say?

It doesn't say but I think they are.  I buy them for everyone for house warming presents!!  The ones I have here, front and back must be at least 6 years old.
The cheap ones are definitely not new, but they look just fine.  When I've bought them from shows, they've had a 1" black rubber border that has had bits cut out, as thought they've been fitted around pipes??  I've just cut the border off, cut them mats with a Stanley knife to fit where I want to put them.  Either hose them down or put them in the washing machine.  The dogs and I step from one of these mats onto light coloured vinyl at the back, and there are never any footprints!
At those prices (compared with £20 for a little one!) you can afford to have spares!!
